Biography

Jordyn Isaacs is a graduating senior at Hampton University, majoring in Journalism with a minor in Leadership Studies through the William R. Harvey Leadership Institute. She is a Published Journalist and Media Relations Specialist with 4+ years of experience in writing, interviewing, public relations, and multimedia storytelling.

Jordyn is skilled in editorial leadership, newsroom management, and team coordination, and she has experience in event production, sponsor activation, and cross-functional collaboration campaigns. She is adept at creating compelling content, pitching stories, and writing across beats, with a strong background in strategic messaging and nonprofit and corporate communications.

As Editor-in-Chief of The Hampton Script, she leads reporting, editorial strategy, and multimedia storytelling. Jordyn has completed internships with NASA, Direct Relief & MIT, focusing on science communication, and currently interns with ESSENCE Girls United and HerCampus Media. Her work highlights amplifying underrepresented voices, particularly from HBCUs, and connecting storytelling to social impact. She aspires to a journalism career that intersects with science, policy, and community advocacy.
